O le Sulu Samoa 2009 Print E-mail
Friday, 27 March 2009

The Introduction of the Gospel not only took Samoa by storm, but the missionaries also introduced a monthly journal "The Sulu Samoa" (The Samoan Torch) in 1839. This Journal was primarily used as an educational tool by the missionaries for the Samoan people, over time and until this day it has evolved into a Journal where Sermons are shared, current events and happenings in the Church are made known, and issues of a theological and cultural nature are discussed, all of which are useful information for Church members. The light of this torch still burns bright 170 years on.

But loving the experience, God willing trying to
finish off my thesis, and head back to sunny Samoa about August...and you??? u

Thank you for uploading the Sulus of 2009. Our church members never recieve the
sulus in the mail now so its always good to be able to read them somehow.
